Campaign Terms and Conditions

Eligibility to Apply
Persons visiting the Yanbaru area for sightseeing/travel during the survey campaign period.
Persons who agree to these Terms and Conditions (Terms of Use and Privacy Policy).
Persons who have a valid email address and are able to complete the survey.
Persons involved in the implementation of the survey campaign are not eligible to apply.
Lottery Draw & Winner Announcement
Winners will be selected through a strict random drawing from among those who meet the above eligibility requirements.
Winners will be notified by email, which will serve as the official announcement.
Shipment of Prizes
Prizewinners will be notified via email, which will be sent from “@west.ntt.co.jp.” to each winner’s registered email address
Prizewinners must reply to the notification email in order to receive their prize. Please note that the prize will be withdrawn if the winner does not reply within five days of receiving the notification email.
Prizes are to be shipped in order from mid-March 2026.
The names of prizewinners will not be made public.
Important Points to Note
Once an application has been submitted, it is deemed that the Applicant agrees to the Campaign Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
Campaign content and prizes may be changed without prior notice.
Prizes may only be received by the selected winners and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
If a prizewinner does not receive the notification email because their registered email address has been entered incorrectly or changed, or if the winner is found to have cheated, the prize may be withdrawn.
If a prizewinner does not reply within five days of receiving the notification email, the prize will be withdrawn.
Each prizewinner can receive only one prize. If it is found that a winner has received multiple prizes, all but one of the prizes will be withdrawn.
Applications can only be submitted from smartphones or tablets.
The Organizer (Northern Regional Municipalities Association) cannot be held responsible for any damage to the device used for registering/applying for the campaign or telecommunication malfunctions.
Behavior that obstructs implementation of the survey is prohibited.
We do not accept inquiries about the receipt of applications/selection of prizewinners or changes to an applicant’s email address after their application has been submitted.
The survey form has been tested and confirmed to operate with browser cookies and when JavaScript is ON for Android 11 (latest version of Google Chrome) and iPhone iOS 15 (Safari).

Handling of personal information

The Mensore♪ Yambaru Happy Enquête Campaign Office (hereinafter the “Office”) provides this Privacy Policy and respects, under this Privacy Policy, the privacy of user companies, and partner companies and organizations (hereinafter “User Companies”) of the service provided thereunder (hereinafter the “Service”), as well as users of the Service (hereinafter “Users”), by exercising the utmost care in managing Users’ personal information (defined below) to handle the information.

Personal information

Personal information means information concerning an individual User that may identify the User with the name, address, telephone number, email address, school name, or other descriptions contained in the information. Furthermore, even if the information alone cannot identify an individual, information that can be easily collated with other information to identify the individual User is also considered personal information.

Purposes of using personal information

Personal information may be used for the following purposes. The information will not be used outside these purposes of use.
Implement and manage the Campaign, and send notifications of winning and prizes to winners
Provide information regarding products and services offered by the Northern Regional Municipalities Association (hereinafter the “Association”) and other incidental products and services; distribute advertisements; give information that the Association etc. deems beneficial to customers; and provide information regarding various surveys and campaigns
Provide information regarding products and services provided by the affiliated organizations, companies, and partners of the Association; distribute advertisements; give information that the affiliated organizations, companies, and partners of the Association deem beneficial to customers; and provide information regarding various surveys and campaigns
Make an analysis to develop new services and products related to the affiliated organizations, companies, and partners of the Association
Conduct market research and other studies concerning the business of the affiliated organizations, companies, and partners of the Association
Provide information to the affiliated organizations, companies, and partners of the Association to be used for the development of new products, new features, new services, etc. and market research and marketing activities etc. at the affiliated organizations, companies, and partners of the Association (However, the information is processed to make it impossible to identify the individuals.)

Provide collected personal information as open data, which has been pseudonymized under the Personal Information Protection Act
Transfer personal information to a tourism regional development corporation (DMO) planned to be incorporated for northern tourism promotion

Voluntariness of providing personal information

If you do not enter the required information for the Service, the Service may not be available to you.

Third-party provision of personal information

As mentioned in the purposes of use, the Office will pseudonymize and provide personal information as open data accessible to many and unspecified people. In addition, the Office will transfer personal information to DMO, which is planned to be incorporated to take charge of northern tourism promotion.

Means or method of provision

Sending or transmitting in writing or by electromagnetic means. However, the Office may provide personal information without the consent of Users to the extent not violating the applicable laws and regulations, if the following applies:
It is found that a User would be detrimental to a third party.
It is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the User.
It is necessary to cooperate with a national government organ or local government, or a person delegated thereby to perform business provided in laws and regulations, and obtaining the User’s consent is likely to interfere with the performance of the business.
It is required by a court, public prosecutor’s office, police, or other agencies with equivalent authority to disclose personal information.
It is explicitly requested by a User to disclose or provide the information to a third party.
It is permitted by laws and regulations to disclose or provide it.
Personal information is provided incidental to business succession due to a merger or other reason, and it is handled within the purposes of use specified before the succession.

Disclaimer regarding third-party provision

The Office shall in no way be responsible for the acquisition of personal information by a third party, if the following applies:
A User discloses personal information to a User Company using the functions of the Service or by any other means (in this case, please directly contact the User Company for their handling of personal information).
Information entered in the Service has accidentally identified the User.
A User provides personal information at an external website linked from the Service, or when such information is used.
Information that can identify an individual User (an ID, password, etc.) is acquired by any person other than the User.

Outsourcing personal information processing

The Office may outsource all or part of the business handling personal information. In this case, the Office shall be responsible for the handling of personal information at the contractor.

Use of statistically processed data

The Office may create statistical data from collected personal information processed to make it impossible to identify individuals.
The Office may use statistical data without any restrictions that does not identify individuals.

Changes of Personal Information

As a rule, only the User may request notice of the purposes of using personal information, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or discontinuance of use or third-party provision of the registered personal information (hereinafter “Changes to the Personal Information”).

For specific procedures, please contact the personal information management inquiry office below. However, the Office may not make Changes to Personal Information if the following applies:

  • It is likely to damage the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the User or a third party.
  • It is likely to significantly interfere with the proper implementation of the Service.
  • It violates any other laws and regulations.

Furthermore, the Office may not make Changes to the Personal Information if they require significant costs, or if it is difficult to make Changes to the Personal Information, so the Office implements other measures necessary for protecting the rights and interests of the User.

Accuracy of personal information

The Office shall endeavor to accurately process collected personal information. However, Users shall be responsible for keeping their personal information accurate and up to date.

Identity verification

When Users make membership registration for each Web service, or members use the Service, or when the Office accepts a request for disclosure, correction, deletion, or discontinuance of use of personal information, the Office shall identify the User in question with personally identifiable information (i.e., name, address, telephone number, date of birth, email address, membership number, password, etc.). However, the Office shall not be responsible if any person other than the User in question obtains personally identifiable information.

Access logs in the following case, which are part of the activity histories

If a User logs in and uses the Service, the Office may identify the individual to distribute or display advertisements or content or provide the Service by using the activity histories before the login. To opt out of receiving such advertisements, please contact the personal information inquiry office below.
